Happiness

No one ever said it was easy,
to journey through the challenges all alone.
Perhaps one day you will smile and look back and say,
“It wasn’t so bad at all” to your own dismay.
And with all the hardships and pain you have endured,
in the end, I promise you will be cured.

The pain becomes a wound and soon becomes a scar,
it leaves you breathless, numb, and cold.
You slowly enclose yourself like a turtle in its shell,
waiting to break away from this living Hell.
As days goes by you come to realize,
that not all things in life can be turned counter-clockwise.
In the end, with all these obstacles and pain in your life,
you will learn to become wise and strong from the over-bearing strife.
