Happiness
Something that cannot be bought Something that one cannot search for Something you may face a lot Something that leaves you wanting more. No, I am not speaking of a tangible thing; Rather a feeling that springs upon you. The feeling is equitable to the beauty of a bird's wing As it flies over an ocean ever so blue. It can be experienced in many ways: For instance, the birth of a child, or the rising of the sun. I hope that everyone finds a piece of it in all of their days, Because in a way, it helps humanity mold into one. A wise man once said, "A world without happiness is a world that is not fully living." It is sad that the wise man now lies dead, With a bunch of beautiful memories reminisced in thanksgiving. This man's thanksgiving came not from the people around him, Nor the items he owned. Rather it came from the light that never grew dim In the thoughts and emotions that he never condoned. So, despite the tensions in this world, It is important to always seek joy Because although it may seem like everyone's emotions are twirled, Positive feelings are more enjoyable than a toy. I say this not to make you feel like a child, But to help you realize that life goes on. Happiness is a beautiful feeling that is not mild, And it helps us as we sing life's song. So what do you say? Will you join me in my world of jubilation for awhie? Because after all, life is too short to waste a single day Not appreciationg the beauty and worth of a single smile. ~Molly Bosch
