Happiness

What a wonderful thing

yet Scary and fleeting

the soft touch of snow upon your face

or your mothers voice singing you to sleep

a moment so precious and rare

that you forget the bad times will come ruthless and bare

it creeps up on you like a thief in the night

coated by the innocence of the dying light
