Happiness

“Happiness” By: Andre Woodhouse

I feel free.

The essence of life is coursing through me.

Allowing me to be…me.

Finally, a day I do not need to find a mask.

A day when I, myself does not need to ask,

Why I’ve had such a horrible past.

I unveil my eyes from their unconscious state.

And from my dreams my body finally relates.

And dancing ensues as though my life is a clean slate.

A mile long curve from ear to ear,

Is what I now wear instead of fear,

With all the ones that I hold dear.

United at last after all the years,

With those that underwent death before the tears.
