Happiness Hired

We are an odd people aren't we?

All trying to get somewhere-

with sight but blind to see

how little we actually care.

We stumble around

and push others down

in attempts to gain ground

as in self interests we drown

But what if we offered a hand?

To those of us that got tired?

The only existing reprimand

would be happiness hired.
