Happiness Is Only Real When Shared

Thinking of the past hurts like a death

It may as well be gone, but never in sentiment

Every time I think of it; every breath

Every moment and event, make my temperament

Future longs and future quickens

Present becomes the past

And as quick and the future comes

The past has come to pass

Soon there is no more future, but

I can know no regrets

My past is my hold to life

For when I die, I’ll know I’ve made life my best

To end: as long as my future remains

And I know the past will come again

My memories remind me of true happiness—

The true happiness only real when shared

I have many more poems than this, but I only put up the ones I think really mean something. I'm not putting up words I tried to throw together, but things I want people to read because I want someone to know how I think. I like to write about Life, Time, Love, Nature, The World, Emotions. Every poem I've written is because of what I was feeling at the time. Nothing is just thrown together or has been stifled over for any large amount of time.
