happiness is relative

the Stars make me happy.

the Way they’ve lived an eternity

evolving, but not changing.

the Wisdom hidden in their twinkling glow.

what have they not seen?

for they have always been.

they hold secrets of the universe.

maybe, just maybe,

the Reason i love them so

is because they’re the only ones who never let Go.

i’ll wait yet another Night,

in hopes of basking in their incandescent light.

just like i used to wait for you,

until your Star burned blue.
