Happy

What does happy feel like A heart battered girl asks her close friend It feels like everything else Is all her friend says It can’t be that heart battered girl thought It mustn’t feel like tear stained pillows It can’t feel like an unfed stomach Or soul crushing thoughts It can’t feel like legs, wrist, thighs, and hips that have turned into battle grounds But if it’s true it means that what I want to grow up to be Is a lie
