Happy
You know those words
That everyone knows
That whisper in the minds of strangers
Confronting their need to speak and be heard
Ordering them to find companions
I wish I knew those words
I wish they would fall off my lips
In tones of encouragement and happiness
And not the bitterness that my own mind soaks in
Because these shows say
Be yourself
Without taking into consideration
What I've done
And who I am
That when I am in the shadows
My soul aches for someone to sit right down next to me
And make the world a little brighter
I come out only if there's a beam of light shining on the edge of my darkness
Stressing if there's more
Crying when there is less
So if I could change
Really change
Not shove a part of me in a closet
My head would rise higher
My smile would be wider
When a joke escapes you
I don't stare for awhile
But laugh right away
I would be
Compassionate
Amazing
Talented
Lovable
Smart
Kind
Exciting
Loving
So again I say
If I could change
I would be happier
