Happy.

Mama’s out somewhere running the streets
Leaving her kids alone; home with nothing to eat
Can you hear the babies crying themselves to sleep
Cuz they think their mama’s somewhere buried 6 ft deep
3 a.m. big brothers kneeling of the floor
Praying to God said he can’t take no more
Father, I know only you can end the pain, so
Can you tell me if my mother was slain?

Little boy
Watching his mama on her back
Why??
Selling herself
So she can get some more crack
Looking at her in fear
“Mommy why are you doing this”
“Because it’s way too good”
“You should take a hit of this”

Age 16 mother twice around
Slept with every other man she found
Spent her life chasing after dick
Now her baby is born sick
And this part should make you glad
Cuz now the baby’s born
And she don’t even know his dad

Pretty young girl
Tears in her eye
Why?
Cuz some lil nigga done broke her heart
Trying to deal with the emotions
She don’t know where to start
With a wannabe drug dealer
Blinded by love she couldn't see
That he only gave the excuse
To get tested for HIV
Thought about it
Said she don’t wanna cry no more
So she takes a knife and
Slices her wrists then she falls to the floor

Now see the tears of a tortured soul and laugh
Smile at the circumstance
Though you don’t even know the half
