Happy

I woke up sad.

When there was no one around I went mad.

Talking to myself is bad.

But I want to know why I'm sad.

I went away to ask my dad.

He said it's all in gods plan.

I asked my mom how not to be sad.

She looked dead when she heard me say "death is what I want"

I looked, I thought, and I ought.

The reflection has to become something.

And today I woke up happy.

I didn't purge on insecurities.

I didn't looked away from myself.

So happy, I kissed the reflection.

So happy, I went and felt some affection.

So happy, I helped the old lady cross.

So happy, I bought a girl a rose.

So happy, that I understood why I'm so sad.

I guess realizing that happiness is running from me all the time

And all my life I've been trying to get a hold of its palms

Thats what made me sad.

That's bad,

I hope tomorrow the sun doesn't shine

So I don't realize that my happiness was here.

And all it did was whisper in my ear.

"See you soon my dear"
