Happy Anniversary, Jake

It is easy to forget that you and I are still so young

when we, ourselves, feel that we have surpassed

all that was expected of our relationship.

We may have bickered, fought,

teased eachothers emotions,

but we never wanted to leave.

It never crossed our minds.

And still, I see in everything you do

- the way you talk to me, hug me,

and look in my eyes-

that you want to be with me,

just as i need to be with you.

All the time we spent together

never, not for a moment

was for nothing.

Even when we didn't talk,

never spoke,

wouldn't look the other way,

We would listen to our thoughts.

And, baby, as stubborn as I was,

and am,

I don't need to think for more than a minute,

to realize that I couldn't go a single day

without you
