Happy Ever After

He didn't quite make it out the door

Didn't quite get to say i love you more

Didn't get to see his boyfriend for the last time

He was already gone but for him to go like that

All those forgotten scars that get hidden under the sleeves

Every last i love you hidden in a faint whisper

Everything he has said lies in a box tucked and away

But maybe this will only be the end

The happy ever after waiting for him

His last wish
