Happy Numbers

I roll my tongue, And taste the words. I feel their shape, Hold their curves in my mouth. The numbers form, Like a rollercoaster at the edge of a cliff. I anticipate the terror, The groans, and buried faces of the other passengers. And say the words. "Six seven." My lips curl, And release a smile. They groan as I thought they would. I don't see why it's so torturous to hear. To me, those numbers are Happiness. There is no cliff at the end of Six seven. Just a joy ride.

Hahaha! I am a teacher. A little past middle age...if 56 is just a little past... 6-7 is SO dead here, but I milk it for all it's worth! I torture the kids with it. That and bad puns.
