Happy Valentine's Day

I wish I could tell you about love. I wish I could express how I feel How my intuitions from everything that I’ve perceived about you have been correct From your face to your waist to how I feel when you’re in my space See, love to me isn’t a simple fairytale of two people who magically fall in love Cause it ain’t never been that easy They say love is a gift from above and honestly, I believe them But I’ve been through so much that it’s like you’re simply trying to tease me I wake up each day to try and remember if this is real Like can I truly be blessed with such a feeling that I can hardly explain? To train my heart to trust again and simply pray I’ll feel no more pain? See, love ain’t a game to me. It’s a feeling that should only be felt by parties of two, never three And I’ve been feeling this party going on in my soul And my heart’s telling me to love you, but my mind’s telling me no. But on this Valentine’s day, I’m gonna say yes Because I haven’t felt this way, so I’m just gonna take a simple guess It must be the way you walk, it’s gotta be the way to talk I perceive you as being more than what I see in front of me I believe you’re growing to be a man that can fulfill all my dreams From the complexities to the simplicity I believe love has found its way into my life And I wish I could still express how I feel Cause this feeling that I feel has never felt so real So on this day when I say yes to you, make sure your love is true And I’m only gonna say this once more Love ain’t a game to me, so as long as you ready for this There’s always gonna be a “we.” Happy Valentine’s Day
