The harbor is frozen and so is my heart.

Don't you dare say you miss me

when his spit still hangs from your lips,

and don't you dare drive to my house

when your backseat still smells

like his cologne.

I hope your heart remembers

when your mouth doesn't,

and you slip and say my name instead of his.

I hope your hands remember

when your head doesn't,

and you search for the birthmark on my back.

I hope he asks you how he looks,

and you smile and say, "Beautiful",

as you look in the mirror and see my face looking back

at you.
