Hard choices

High school is hard, trying to find who you are

what you want to be, you could be a star

you have four long years, to figure this out

doing all you can, til you find your route

it can take weeks or years, but soon you know

who you want to be and how you can grow

Through the years, people come and go

til the one person or thing makes time slow

they come most when difficult decisions need to be made

during this process you can be afraid

with college and your career, your supposed to know

and although it’s hard, and you might feel low

but that one person helps ease the stress

you know your decision will be the best.

This person for me was Brittany.

a teacher at MSD in florida, she shares her experiences

online I found her story, in all the seriousness

she was optimistic, smiling still the happiness in Yellows

the decisions I faces suddenly were easy, I become more mellow

she made me realize I don’t need to be miserable to make money

I can do what makes me happy, now I find it funny

I had not taken my feelings and passions in to consideration

I am going to be an english teacher, regardless of others acceptability.
