The Hard to Easy Days

I am from the hard days where I had to suffer through my broken body, missing

the fun activities everyone else was apart of.

I am from the easy days where I would ride behind my dad on the jet skis and

carve up the lake together.

I am from the hard days, grinding out my Eagle Scout merit badges and the

service that followed.

I am from the easy days where I traveled around the world and explored the

different cultures with my family.

I am from the hard days of death and sadness in my family, not knowing what

will happen next.

I am from the easy days in the summer, sleeping on the trampoline and

swimming in the lakes with my cousins.

I am from the hard days, practicing all night and stressing out for the Wizard of Oz

play.

I am from the easy days shredding up the nar with my buddies.
