hard-knock yearnin'

hard-knock yearnin’

hoping for a new sky

I didn’t know

the bugs flying around

had such a bite

hard-knock yearnin’

praying for a new girl

I didn’t know

the boys could

be so cruel

hard-know yearnin’

wishing I could fight

I know

I can beat the world

if I played it right
