Hard To Say Goodbye

When we were together,

you said "I love you".

My heart bounced with joy,

because I knew it was true.

From those days in school,

from the days in the park.

From the special time,

that we kissed in the dark.

I remember those days,

when we were inseperable.

But as soon as high school hit,

people were questionable.

As of right now,

we're just "close friends"

But the memories in my head..

They'll never end.

As I sit here writing this..

I question myself why?

Why was it so difficult to say goodbye?
