Hard Times

Hard times befall us all,
Even those who seem so tall,
breaking done our hopes and dreams,
making our hearts bleed and scream,
Hard times befall us all.

Hard times more often than not,
hoping for some hope to be caught,
seeking help at every door,
wondering exactly we do this for,
and hard times befall us all.

Hard times for those who hurt
and those daemons who seem to flirt
begging us to give them ground
though their logic is never sound.
Hard times befall us all.
