Hard Work
I'm tired today
But I'm tired everyday I suppose
So many things to do
So many goals
So much work
But it'll all be worth it in the end
It'll all be worth it in the end
That's what I have to keep telling myself
Because I am one of a kind
No one's been through what I have
I accomplished goals
Got my degree and became a military officer
Sure am proud of that
But you always want more
Get a master's degree they said! It'll be fun they said!
Be a nurse! Be a healthcare provider!
You weren't that but it's ok!
Maybe it will be fun
It will be
I am excited for a change
This was my original goal
But life
Oh well
But now I think I can only prepare so much for the work yet to come
Living in a constant state of tiredness
A constant state of “what day is it?”
“When can I go back to sleep?”
“When can I go eat?”
“When can I take a break?”
Got to get used to that
But it’ll be worth it
If I can achieve my dreams, anyone can
Hard work is inevitable folks
But I’ll get there
We’ll get there
