The hardest fight

The hardest fight

Is coming home. No one knows the struggles you face day to day.

Fighting your training, your instincts.

“Your actions speak louder than words” they say, but your actions are haunted with pain and destruction.

You don’t want to be near anyone, you feel you will hurt them, scare them away.

You are You. No one can take that away. Even Combat.

You are loved and we are here for you.

Waking up in the middle of the night, doing drill commands in your sleep, screaming commands when you’re dead asleep.

It may be scary, but it’s how your body copes with what it has been through. Your mind makes these pathways to help you manage the unimaginable, and this is how you show it.
