Hardship

My world lies torn

Like any old over-worn fabric

That has many holes in it

And splayed threads

Rotten and evil-smelling.

Can anyone repair my world?

I have my doubts,

Everything seems damaged.

No one can repair my world,

How did I allow this to happen?

I deserve a severe reprimand.

Who will punish me and how?

Why not roast me alive

I will not squirm or scream

I will watch fire destroy me.

I want the same fire to rebuild

My world once again,

It has done so in the past.

My recast and changing world

Should promote truth and goodness.
