The Harmony of Society

Boom, Boom, Boom.

The beat ensares me,

blood pumping,

my mind, my body breaks free

from the cursed ropes

of a binding society.

In here, they can't know,

In here, I go with the flow,

The rhythm, the beat,

and I will never accept defeat;

The small things don't matter,

the passing glances,

or the hidden whispers,

only the way my pulse dances,

as the music drowns out

the building pressure of this

cascading society that pushes me down,

and turns my head in circles,

round and round,

over the thought that we rarely,

we rarely,

do whatever we want.

The harmony of mind and body,

the caress of the pounding beat

as I stomp my feet

in time

allows my collusion of thoughts

to have a diffusion on the spot,

and allows me to stop time on a dime,

and push back from my mind

the mounting pressure of the daily grind.
