The Harsh Reality

It happens a lot, I find it hard to sleep at night.

But it's equally as hard to wake up and face the light.

Still I pull myself out of bed, giving it all my might;

To face the day ahead filled with mental toil and strife.

Everyday is the same, I'm merely a slave to routine.

Still I long to break the cycle and experience the things I haven't seen.

You hear all of the stories, the pursuance of the American dream.

But is it truly achievable for someone as apathetic and indifferent as me?
