#No mascara
to make my small
blue eyes look bigger
because somehow that's
more admirable
than the intelligent
twinkle that's present
in the oceanic irises
no matter the black tar
smeared over the hair
that surrounds them.

#No foundation
to cover up the nearly
nonexistant acne
that we're taught to fear
almost above all else
because it suggests
that despite the teenager
mindset of "I am Invincible"
we're still subject to 
hormone fluctations that
we cannot control and prove
we're human. 

#No bright red lipstick
to make that boy notice me
because he is too ignorant to 
realize that I'm beautiful
no matter the maks I put on
to get his attention.
