Hate

The vicious hold of hate and anger

Is often followed by regret

And nearly always precedes blood and bruises

Before the sun is set

But wouldn’t it be wonderful

If with the setting sun

We could all forget our hatred

And with the night be done

Be done to move upwards and onwards

To better and brighter days

Regardless of times and deeds gone by

Forgiving the memories and haze

In the end, no one is all that much better

than anyone picked from the rest

But striving to forgive and living on

Puts you one step closer to the best.
