Hater
I know who you are.
One look's all it takes.
You can't hide from me.
Your body gives you away.
Your hair and your eyes.
Your skin and your face.
I know who you are.
You don't have to say.
Then he came to me.
And he walked away.
I asked
Why not stay?
He said
There's no need.
I know who you are.
One look's all it takes.
You can't hide from me.
You already gave it away.
I know who you are.
You don't have to say.
I cried
That's not fair
Just give me a chance
Inside I'm forever.
My outside won't last.
My eyes tell you one thing
But my spirit another
One fades away
But the other's forever
He said
Why bother.
I don't really care.
And then he left me
To rot in nowhere.
And then from the distance
I saw many faces.
Some were pretty
Soft and fair.
Others were not
Covered in faults.
Some spirits of kindness
Others were not.
But none stopped for me
Crying and broken.
I had known them all
And turned them away
Because of their face
Their color or shape
And so when I fell
Into my own folly
None shed a tear
I was put in my place.
They knew who I was.
One look's all it took.
I turned them away
They didn't want me.
In my hateful shame
I dug my own grave.
