Haunted
It always hurts come October
I try to numb pain but I can't stay sober
Your bittersweet flashbacks linger
Like a shot a whiskey long after last call
Though I climb higher
I Ultimately give into the fall
Does your absence still haunt me
Or is it the ghost of the memories
I drank so much I was trying to forget you
All it did was misconstrue
The agony never fades
I lie to myself when I think its gone away
