Haunted

I am haunted,

Not by a soul that has passed,

But a soul that lives.

This soul haunts me

Not only in dreams

But my thoughts in day.

I force myself to stop,

Stop thinking.

It does nothing.

I can’t get rid of it.

Everywhere I turn

I know it is there.

What have I done

to feel like I am constantly being watched?
