To Have Lost..

If I have to lose something,

I'd rather not have had it in the first place

If it can get up and go

Why keep it?

Why put myself in a position to be penetracted by hurt?

If I can keep it, I want it forever

If can't, I want it never

If you're giving me something that can be lost,

don't give it to me at all

Losing it will only bring pain to me

Why feel pain when you can feel nothing at all

Why let it bring me to my knees when I'd rather stand tall

I'd rather feel the pain of the days work 

than to feel the pain of the late night hurt
