Have you ever been sprayed?
Sprayed with iniquity
Sprayed with hatred
Sprayed with your identity
Sprayed with a hose
Because of the color of your skin

Have you ever been bit?
Bit by words
Bit by inequality
Bit by circumstances
Bit by negativity
Bit by a dog
Because of the pigmentation of your skin

Well, they did!
Victimized to by white man
Who put their dignity in a can
Threw it away
And said they had to pay
For being black
So they swept the sweat off their back s
To make a little change
And hoped for change

But there were seeders
People who planted the seeds of liberty
So that they could escape the garden of iniquity
So they stood proud
Of who they they they were
Of who they they were
Of who they were

Have you ever been to school?
The school of opportunity
The school of intricacy
The school of success
The school of a better life
The school for education
Because you are American

Have you ever been confident?
Confident of your identity
Confident of your heritage
Confident of your race
Confident of your ethnicity
Confident in whom you are
Because you are you
