Have you ever

Have you ever stood in the freezing cold, and felt the warmth of a sun that's gold? Have you ever stood in the pouring rain, and felt the cry of the heaven's pain? Have you ever stood within a fire, that burned with the coldest desire? Have you ever slept in the still forest, while laying with a wolf at rest? Have you ever stared into a tiger's eyes, and seen where it's ancient power lies? Have you ever stared into the darkness of the night, and seen no hope, no speck of light? Have you ever flown on a sparrow's wings, and heard the song of joy it sings? Have you ever stared into a puddle that's red, and realized that you are finally dead? I have.
