Have you ever? I AM... Scholarship Slam

Have you ever screamed so loud that your throat burned?

Have you ever danced in the rain?

Have you ever cried and laughed at the same time?

Have you ever gasped for breath and begged for escape?

I have.

I have known what it is like to fall to your knees, to stand on your toes and to spin in contrast with the world.

I have known pride and pain and promise and progress.

I have been brave, I have been a coward, I have been a friend, and I have been an enemy.

I have ached, I have loved, I have laughed, and I have sobbed.

Is this what I am?

NO.

I am not what I have done and felt.

I am what I want to become.
