Have you seen?

Have you seen the portrait?

Like Dorian, your soul's trapped within

Hiding the scars underneath your eyeless heart

Shadowing the doubts you have within.

Have you seen the doorway,

Leading to a time long ago?

Your thoughts say you might, but your legs stand strong

The past is not yours to own.

Have you ever desired,

to peel away all of your skin?

Have you ever considered

letting somebody in?

Have you seen the children?

They follow you like chicks stalk a hen

You won't stay and play or tell them it's okay

You think they know where you've been

Have you seen the damage?

Your apathy has befallen us all

You choose not care, but we all know your stare

Your eyes mask the fall

Have you ever desired,

to peel away all of your skin?

Have you ever considered

letting somebody in?

Have you imagined the ending,

when you must confront your sin?

How will you face your pain and disgrace?

Do you think you'll start again?
