Haven
And I see right through the mask you put on now.
You softly cry inside,
So people don’t see you slowly die.
You fall into the pool of thoughts,
Drowning, hoping someone hears
Your silent screams. The lonely
Abyss within your heart grows wider
With every word not said.
You silently observe the world around you,
As passing strangers wave goodbye.
To your dreams you run away,
A place of make believe,
Where trees bloom with life
And the color never drains from your eyes.
Your dreams become your wings,
And you fly to the clouds where your pain
Washes away and the tears become rain.
