Having To Be And Happen To Be
I am . . .
I am who i need to be,
Whoever will help me succeed,
I know what i need to know,
And say what they want to hear.
I no longer have a personality of my own,
I am a body without a soul.
I am and yet I am not.
I have opinions of my own,
I have feelings.
I am not who you want me to be
Nor who you think I am.
I am me.
No one else can dictate who I am.
Where I came from does not determine where I am going.
I am more tham just a name.
I am more than just a body .
I am more than what I appear to be.
I have the choice of what step to make next,
I refuse to follow the road layed out in front of me.
I have control over my own life,
I will make my own decisions,
I will make my own mistakes.
I am hopefull.
I am proud.
I am stubborn.
I am an opportunist.
I am optimistic.
But most of all,
I am me.
