Having Confidence Regardless of Others

You will never have to wonder

Just what it is I’m thinking  

Every whisper of a thought

Is said aloud unblinking

Though you’ll never have to guess

If I’m going to speak

Everyday I’ve a new perspective

That will keep you on your feet

I am honest

About what’s on my mind

Brutally honest

It can even seem unkind

I beat the mule in a contest

That it had never lost

We were staring and kept staring

Until it paid the cost

It dared to trifle with me

The stubborn little mule

Until it learned the lesson

I always have more fuel

I am stubborn

More stubborn than a mule

I am sassy

I am sassier than you

It is these things combined

That make me who I am

My sassiness

My stubborness

And my brutal honesty

I am great

These things make me so

But these are not my only traits

That give make me shine and glow

I am pretty and I am smart

I am kind and I have heart

I am determined and I am strong

I am amazing

The list goes on and on

There are many traits which I possess

Not all of them are good

But best of all, I am proud of who I am

Just as all in the world should
