"HE"

I stand near the benches,

hearing all who sing along,

to the Christan songs.

I suppose “God” brought me here for a reason.

Not quite sure though,

I never really paid attention.

It’s on the day after,

the day after I arrived in a new home.

Every Sunday, I come to this church.

Every day, I started learning who HE really was.

Every day, I sang along

to every Christan song,

and one day, I realized HE is the one that has been here for me.

HE is the one that kept me strong.

And so today I am with family,

where I never feel alone

and today I still stand strong

for HE is the one who stood by my side

and for once, I felt alive.
