He Is All I Need
In the stillness he was the peace I rested on.
Amongst the wreckage of my past his name was the one I called upon.
He is both just and merciful,
almighty but relational.
Most people call him non-existant or imaginary...friend.
That's what I call him too... friend.
And healer, and savior, and father.
Because he's no farther than the breath in front of my face,
He may be physically gone, but his presence no man can erase,
My God makes no mistakes--
that includes me and you too.
We weren't an accident, we were a plan purposefully thought through.
God gives us everything yet gets blamed for it all too.
How then can we get angry when things go wrong and we're wondering what to do?
People today say they're better off without him
I say, He is all I need.
