He Calls For Me
Young I am, he calls for me
As child's way, choose to flee
A child's fear like a deer
In eye's frame of hunter's aim
Years have come, he calls for me
Hard to fight what I cannot see
Triumph is here, shed no tear
For he's left way for another day
Grown I am, he calls for me
His hands grip me like a bee
Stingers upon flesh, blood fresh
Wounds heal with kiss's seal
Years have gone, he calls for me
Standing tall is the tree
Living life through storm's knife
He leaves us lone for we have won
Elder I am, he calls for me
Sitting idle drinking tea
Fearing not what I have fought
On the land I take his hand
Wings I've grown, he calls to me
Says goodbye to what is free
No longer fearing what I was hearing
I smile and say, "Until then when I may hear your call again."
