He Came To Set The Captives Free

My sight was veiled to life's delight For spectral eyes forsake the light,
Giving reign to grief and pain
That feeds one's soul with sinful bane.

I strived in vain to sheath my hate To tame the rage that guides my fate, Lost in thoughts of vengful lust My soul decayed from steel to rust. Outside this cage comprised of strife Pain, rage, and hate give way to life, But while inslaved to the Abbyss I could not feel freedoms bliss. My pride this day I lay aside For in the Lord I now abide My eyes are open now I see He came to set the captives free.
