He Doesn't Know

He doesn't know

that when I do my hair and makeup

it's all for him.

He doesn't know

that when I get dressed

I am wondering what he will think when he sees me.

He doesn't know

that when I walk past him in the hallway

I want to speak,

but I don't think he wants to talk.

He doesn't know

that I take the long way to class

just so I can see him for a second.

He doesn't know

that as I sing the song I hear on the radio,

it makes me think of him.

He doesn't know

how happy it makes me

when he brushes my shoulder as he walks by.

His impact is not unimportant,

it affects everything, but through it all...

He doesn't know
