He is Home
The thudding in my chest
keeps time
with such
vigor
my breath
can't
keep up
with my
laughter as you chase me
down the stairs,
across the room,
captured on the couch.
Caught in your strong arms,
my muffled giggles mixing
with yours
in and between kisses,
I exhale my stress
and embrace you;
my best friend,
my home.
