He I Won't Love

Dark and unexpectedly beautiful

I stare away from him
Brief glances, I steal at his face and his frame
Give me secret smiles never gone unnoticed

But I do not love him

I swear it aloud
I hold fast to that in word, even if not by heart

Never again will I make that mistake
No hurt, no pain will be fall my weak heart

The boundaries of friendship keep me from more
This wall and the other, of fear, knocking me down

Courage speaks pleasant of me not nor I of it
For we have long since left each other untouched
