He Left You Cold

You thought he was different

You thought he'd never hurt you

You were wrong

You were frustrated and confused

You felt alone even when you had spent 6 months with him

You felt your efforts meant nothing to him

You needed to leave that situation

You needed to be happy again even if it meant letting him go

You will never feel your heart beat the same when you see him

You will never be able to forget what he put you through

You don't talk the same way anymore

You don't smile or laugh the same way anymore

You leave your mother wondering what happened to her little girl?

You leave the world wondering what he did to hurt you this much?

You won't love the same way anymore

You won't open up the same way anymore

The warmth you once had in your big heart is slowly fading away

You had hoped he was different

You had hoped he would never hurt you

Little did you know how cold he would leave you feeling
