He Is Light

I was asked what I would want or can not live without if I were stranded on an island.

My response is Jesus, I can not live with out him.

He is light

He created the world

you and me

so perfectly, can’t you see?!

endowed us with words which free us

slaves to flesh, slaves to

sin

Sin that consumes and confuses our true purpose

to be light like him

not only to illuminate our shadows

but to illuminate this world from its shade

He is light

A light that never dims nor dies

but flows like a river through me

electrifying me like live wires dipped in-

water

healing the sick and consoling the weak

he allowed men to nail and believe

crucifying him, the king of kings was the right punishment for “blasphemy”

his blood saved me and gave me the authority to be before you and speak on the wonderful blessings i have received

He is light

The brightest star in the galaxy

forever there, even if you choose not to believe

And so there are those who say

where was hewhen my daddy touched me inappropriately

where was he when i was in the streets with no where to call my

home

I'm here to tell you something,  sometimes heartaches are a must in order to surrender to him wholeheartedly

In John 3:16 he swore simply and proclaimed his love for me

So who ever believes will not die but live for eternity

In Matthew 8:23 he spoke of a storm which shook and scared his mind and body

leaving him no option but to believe our sleeping saviour could not save nor stop nature’s “I hate you”

Yet he has witnessed personally the blind begin to see, and the dead reviving but it was fear that made him doubt

fear can change our thinking in 1,2,3

matthew was so frightened he shook jesus out of his dreams and yelled,

“Do you not care about me?”

With a gesture the wind and sea became cool calm collected at once

cool calm collected at once

You see you must never forget that during your storm, the man up there is in your boat

He is light

Not just easter should you believe that jesus died for you and retrieved to heaven after 3 days

While you’re smoking dope, drinking gin, living the life of sin

our god cries because you don’t know what you’re getting yourself

into

He is light

More than 30 thou, more than 30 thousand jews died crucified by those in charge

romans, actually

yet we seem to only remember one

the one who forgives, no catch

the one who listens when you weep

the one who who gives you strength when you bend your knees and

pray

strength to face a world where we protest and yell "I can't breathe" yet we ignore the root of the issue and generational poverty

strength to beat stereotypes that state that those who are raised by single parents will be failures and not succeed

strength to change a world that seems to have instagram as its main priority

i tell you once you have jesus in your deck of cards its a royal flush,

so don’t flush this opportunity down the drain

He is light

Now go drink out of the fountain of life called jesus christ, and remember he will always be there, even when life ain't’ treating you right.

Because he is light
