He loves me

He loves me, he loves me not. Petals like empty shells fall to the ground, A youth’s blood spills as dust returns to dust, A mother’s cry is cut short by man’s work, And in the distance, another shot- He loves me, he loves me not. Petals like storm water soften the ground A dam crumbles under the typhoons rage A people languish beneath darkened skies And in the distance, the sun is hot- He loves me, he loves me not. He loves me, and the Petals like fallen bodies bare, He reaches His hand to and gently cusps, To carry with Him for eternity And in the distance, eternally- He loves me, yes He loves me.
