But He Loves Me

But he loves me, is what she says as he hits her harder and harder

But he loves me, is what she says as he publicly humiliates her

But he loves me, is what she says as he ignores her

But he loves me, is what she says as he uses her for her body

But he loves me, is what she says as he is out cheating on her

But he loves me, is what she says as he tells her to kill herself

But he doesn't love her

You don't hit the person that you love

You don't humiliate the person that you love

You don't ignore the person that you love

You don't use the person that you love

You don't cheat on the person that you love

You don't tell the person that you love to kill themself

For that is not love

Love is the feeling you get when you feel the sun kiss your face

Love is the feeling of your mother hugging you

Love is the taste of your favorite food after you haven't had it in a long time

Love is the sound of a newborn baby laugh

Love is seeing someone you care about smile

Love is the smell of your grandmas kitchen after she bakes

Because he loves you is not an excuse to let him abuse you

Because you love you is an excuse to get better
